Eyelid with asymmetry creases

Eyelid with asymmetry creases

Problem: Asymmetry of the eyelid creases was present in this patient. As a result, she required treatment.

Process: Excess skin on her eyelids appears to be a major concern. In order to remove a residual overhang of skin without cutting the orbital fat, a residual overhang of skin must be removed.

Operative technique

  • Step 1: The incision lines for eyelid surgery are drawn.
  • Step 2: Using a scalpel blade, scissors, and forceps, the upper eyelid skin is removed.
  • Step 3: In this case, the fat is repositioned without removal.
  • Step 4: The levator fixation procedure is completed

Final outcome: The symmetry crease has finally been achieved. The eyelids now appear more desirable.

Details of the procedure

Duration: 30-40 mins

Anesthesia: Local anesthesia

After surgery, the sutures will be removed in 5-7 days

Two follow-up visits are recommended after surgery: one week and three months
