A second blepharoplasty?

แก้ตาเมื่อไหร่-แบบไหนควรแก้

Can you have a second blepharoplasty?

The first surgical procedure should be allowed adequate time to heal completely. As is common with many plastic surgery procedures, it can take several weeks or months for the swelling to completely subside and the final results to fully manifest. Our recommendation is for patients to wait at least 3 months before considering eyelid revision or correction in order to facilitate the healing process. Lists of the common problems that patients experience when they require revision blepharoplasty are provided below

As is common with many plastic surgery procedures, it can take several weeks or months for the swelling to completely subside and the final results to fully manifest.

  • Asymmetry creases can occur as a result of uncorrected ptosis, previous Blepharoplasty complications, or incomplete levator fixation
  • An eyelid with excess skin or fat may have low anchoring of the crease. It may also be caused by a low height crease left over from a prior blepharoplasty.
  • When a surgeon marks a crease at an incongruent height, it indicates that the anchoring of the crease is high. Patients with sunken eyeballs may experience this type of mark.
  • An uncorrected congenital ptosis can give the appearance of asymmetry on the upper eyelids.
  • The appearance of multiple creases is common in eyelids whose eyeballs are sunken or with excess skin.
